Great experience with both Nick and Zack. Called them at 6:30am and by noon my water heater was fixed. Second time I've used these guys and both times they have exceeded my expectations. Hopefully wont need to use them for a long while now that my unit is new but I definitely will recommend them to anyone needing any HVAC or plumbing services

FAQs
Why is my TANK leaking?
There are a number of different reasons why you could be experiencing a leak. Finding the location of the leak will give you a much more accurate idea of what may be causing the issue.

Here are some scenarios:
  • Leak coming from the top of your tank -  it is possible that a particular plumbing part or fitting is malfunctioning. These types of leaks can more than often be rehabbed.
  • Pool of water under and around the tank - You may have a crack somewhere in the tank itself and will need a replacement.
  • A dripping overflow pipe - the occasional drip is completely normal, however, if it continues to leak more steadily then you may have a more serious issue that needs to be looked at. The overflow pipe serves as a safety valve that relieves pressure from inside the water heater. This helps prevent your tank from cracking, or worse, bursting.

We advise you to skip the guesswork and give us a call at (725) 215-7667. One of our skilled technicians will gladly advise you on your best options.
Why is my water coming out murky and colored?
You wake up in the morning ready to start your day... you turn on the water to brush your teeth annnnnnd BAM.... a murky flow of brown water pours out.

Why is this happening?

The short answer is.... it depends (yes we know that's not what you wanted to hear but sit tight)

There are a few scenarios that cause water discoloration. Let's run through them:
  • If it's just when you run COLD WATER... it is possible an issue with a specific water supply pipe and not your hot water heater
  • If it's just when you run HOT WATER... then it is likely from corrosion sediment and rust from your water heater tank itself. If flushing your tank doesn't help, you may just need a new Anode Rod to fix the issue instead of a new water heater replacement
  • If it's ALL of your HOT & COLD WATER... then it could be fluctuating water supply issues in either your plumbing system or even as a result of nearby city water lines
There are other times however, regardless if you live in Henderson or up in Canada, when murky water may be caused from another issue unrelated to your water heater (our appliance repair Calgary friends see this all the time in up in Alberta, Canada).

Either way, if you are here in Las Vegas or Henderson, we recommend giving us a call at (725)215-7667 to speak with a trained specialist about your smelly brown water issue. By tackling the issue sooner than later, it may save you unnecessary costs.

why IS MY water heater MAKING NOISES?
Noisy rumbling or "whistling" sounds are more common in older units that are either giving out or have not received routine maintenance service for some time.

Different sounds could be clues to different issues with your unit.
  • Rumbling - this sound is usually caused by hot expanding water going through the sediment resting at the bottom of your tank. It is possible that a simple flush would help with this issue.
  • High-pitched - this sound could be due to high incoming water pressure. When your pressure/temperature release valve is not opening properly to release pressure from inside the tank, it can lead to cracks in your tank, or worse, bursts.

Although you can attempt to DIY, it could lead to injury and even higher repair costs in the long run. Give us a call at (725)215-7667 to speak with a licensed water heater specialist who can give you a solid plan of action.

WHY WON'T MY PILOT LIGHT STAY LIT?
No pilot light can mean no hot water. There are a couple of reasons why your pilot light won't light or stay lit.
  • Gas valve (thermostatic control) - normally has a dial for water temperature control and will also have a probe that monitors the water temperature. If the thermocouple is okay, then the thermostatic control valve may be malfunctioning. Replacement of this part should be performed by a trained technician.
  • Thermocouple - a heat sensing probe that is part of the pilot assembly and sits just above the pilot flame and is designed to keep gas flowing to the pilot light. If the thermocouple is defective, it will not sense the flame from the pilot light and the gas valve will not receive the proper voltage signal to keep gas flowing to the pilot assembly.

We advise not to attempt to DIY this type of project. Give us a call at (725)215-7667 and schedule one of our trained technicians to swing by and take a look. You'll always get a free estimate before any work is done so you know exactly what to expect.
WHY DO I HAVE LITTLE TO NO HOT WATER?
This is one of the most common questions we hear. Hot water on-demand is often taken for granted. If you are experiencing little to no hot water, there are a vast amount of possibilities why this is happening. The causes will also vary depend on the type of unit you have - gas water heaters can have different causes than electric water heaters and solar water heaters. The solution can be as small as a quick DIY fix, all the way to an actual replacement. Either way, we have you covered.

Here are a few common reasons:
  • Faulty heating element (electric units)
  • Faulty thermostat (electric units)
  • Pilot light is out (gas units)
  • Cracked or leaking tank

In the unfortunate event that your unit needs a replacement, there are modern tankless options now available that could save you money on repairs and energy costs in the long run. Give us a call at (725)215-7667 to discuss what options best fit your current situation.
